Social
constructionist dialogues
have now reached global proportions. Constructionist ideas are
also implemented in therapeutic practices that have extended across
continents. The present program offers a series of inter-related
readings and electronically mediated dialogue designed to introduce
these ideas and to discuss and demonstrate their use in therapeutic
practice. All writings included in the program are the work of
the staff or associates of either The
Houston Galveston Institute or the Taos
Institute. These units are available to anyone regardless
of professional background.
Effective
use of the resources can yield continuing education credits.
Three CE credits are awarded for each unit completed. Participants
in the full program will be awarded a Certificate in Social Construction
and Therapeutic Practice from the Houston Galveston Institute
and the Taos Institute. This certificate should offer recognition
in the professions of family therapy, social work, counseling,
and clinical psychology in particular.
